MEBO Chairman Kevin Xu Celebrates Lunar New Year at Bay Area Council Gala
On the afternoon of March 13, 2024, the San Francisco Bay Area Council hosted its fourteenth Lunar New Year celebration at the historic Klamath headquarters. Kevin Xu, Chairman of MEBO Group and Chair of the APEC Host Committee, who also serves as Director and co-chair of the International Committee of Bay Area Council and Head of the APEC Action Group, was among the distinguished guests. He joined the Chief Operating Officer of the Bay Area Committee, John Grubb, and San Francisco Mayor London Breed in celebrating this significant cultural event.
A highlight of the event was the award ceremony, which honored influential leaders for their impact both locally and globally. Mayor London Breed and Protocol Officer Mariam Muduro received the Bay Area Council's 2024 Global Leader Award. Both expressed their gratitude to Kevin Xu and the Bay Area Council for their substantial contributions to APEC, highlighting the collaborative efforts that led to the notable success of APEC 2023.
