Research on stem cell regeneration in vivo and in situ was conducted on the basis of Moist Exposed Burn Therapy (MEBT), an innovative burn therapy that has been and is currently in worldwide clinical use. With years of basic research, Professor Rongxiang Xu, the inventor of the therapy has identified that it was by skin regeneration and replication from stem cell culturing in situ that MEBT effectively treats burns. It was also confirmed that subsequent to burn injuries, the human body has an instinctive ability to trigger residual tissue in situ to regenerate stem cells, which are then adjusted to give rise to skin tissue. This significant discovery advances human stem cell research into the application of organ regeneration and replication by in vivo and in situ culture of stem cell.

Encouraged by the enormous scientific and commercial successes in burned skin regeneration, the MEBO group has been harnessing the power of stem cells for a wide spectrum of clinical applications, which includes, but is not limited to using tissue repair and organ regeneration in the treatment of aged skin, diseased skin, such as diabetic ulcers and baldness, various traumatic wounds, and diseases involving mucous membrane in internal organs such as ulcers.
